it's no use

Well, it didn't work....!!!   I've tweaked, edited, and deleted, about to as far as I want to go, and it still tells me I'm at 100% capacity for pictures, and will not let me add anymore, unless I pay money for more storage space. Well, that ain't gonna happen, so I'll be creating a new blog it appears. I will post the new address as soon as I've made it, and will let you all know.

Christmas 2010 ... the beginning

Hey, I might not even be a Scrooge relative this year!   We have our tree already!...and it's UP!!!!   We went to Blue Springs, NE, to Pinecrest Tree Farm this past Saturday afternoon and picked out and up a tree. It was fun. Except for last year, we have gone up there every year since Allison has been here (and even before that), and I think this year possibly was the most fun. She's old enough now that she participates more appropriately and interacts, etc.   We rode the horse-drawn wagon this year, which we hadn't done before.  

It was a very nice day....     Now, we'll see if we can get the other decorations up!  (that's the goal for Tuesday!)

New Motivation

Well, doggone it, not that I was doing great before it happened, but I really went downhill....I really have lost my pizzazz ever since I ran out of space on the blog for pictures. :(   I haven't even really wanted to come here for a (relatively) long time, even though I do want to continue my blog. I tossed around several alternatives. I even created a new blog over at Typepad, but I figured that would actually be harder because I would have to get anyone who was interested in my blog to go over there....big time hassle for readers....


I did spend a little bit of time trying to compress some of the posts from the "early days", but I can do some more.  There are lots of pictures that can probably be deleted which would free up some time.  


With the holidays coming up, and a family vacation on the horizon, I will try to do better again, I promise. ;)

Sorry about the font color on the color of the background.  We'll see how long I can stand this before I change the background again. 


I wanted to change my background to a Christmasy background.  It is also important to me to try to have something that relates to the TRUE and REAL meaning of Christmas.  The site where I get my (free) blog backgrounds has lots and lots of really great Christmas backgrounds, but this is the only one with a religious theme to it.  So, I'll try it for awhile and see what happens.   It is really pretty. :)

Skipping Right Along

My goodness but the days go by quickly.  And, yes, I do feel that I squander some of my time away, too.  I dabble.  I dabble too much.  I have too many interests in life I suppose. One would think that isn't necessarily a bad thing, right?  The thing is....I don't get any one thing finished when I dabble.  I start something, then I get distracted by something that looks interesting, or something that NEEDS to be done, or...whatever.  I love being on the computer...on the internet.  There is so much information out there.  Some would suggest that I get out there and actually LIVE it.... I would tend to agree.  However, how can I do that when I live in the sticks, I personally don't have a reliable car, or endless money, my husband is chained to his business much of the time, etc etc etc.  So, it has now resulted in me finding out more about the world through the computer.  But, you can probably figure out what else this means........I find more and more and more and more things that I want to learn about.  My goodness but the days go quickly.

Welcome to November

Well, I know for a fact that I have not fixed the problem yet with the blog, but I"m working on it.  I went back and tried to edit some of the unnecessary posts or the empty posts, and deleted some of the pictures that really had nothing to do with my goal or mission for this blog.  I still need to do some more revisions and updating, but it takes time, so I will work on it as I have some time.  


It's been beautiful the past few days here...cool in the morning, and sunny, and then warms up as the day continues. Almost perfect autumn weather right now.

Yesterday was election day.  I'm not necessarily very political.  I used to enjoy politics when I was in high school, believe it or not, but as i've gotten older and seen the corruptness in government, it has soured me.  It seems pretty hopeless anymore. Each election day brings along with it a sense of hopefulness for new ideas....(crossing fingers).

I ran out of free space on the blog to post pictures! UGH!!!


SO, I"m working on other ways to handle this, and deciding if I need to go back and either delete old photos or save them some other way OR even create a NEW blog....
